The American tenor, Cody Ryan Arthur, obtained his Bachelor of Music degree in Voice and Opera from the University of Mississippi (2013-2017); and his Master of Music degree in Voice and Opera from the University of Houston (2017-2019). His awards include: Encouragement Award of Beethoven Club of Memphis (2015); 1st Place Student at Mississippi Opera Competition (2016); Finalist at Mobile Opera Competition (2016).
As a Young Artist, Cody Arthur is a tenor making strides in Operatic, Oratorio, and Concert repertoire. He has performed with companies across the USA in roles ranging from the Baroque to the Contemporary repertoire. On the concert stage he has sung with Ars Lyrica Houston (Director: Matthew Dirst), Bach Society Houston (since January 2018; Director: Rick Erickson), and River Oaks Chamber Orchestra. Equally as comfortable as a strong collaborator, he is sought out as a professional chorister as well, including Chorister at Houston Grand Opera (since October 2019). He currently resides in Houston, Texas, where he maintains a thriving private teaching studio, and is regularly engaged with local organizations and ensembles.
