The Chilean soprano, Fanny Elizabeth Becerra Carrasco, studied in Linares; then studied choral direction and singing, interpretation and musical education at the Universidad de Talca (2010-2015). Since 2013, 2014, 2015 and 2019 she has received a scholarship from the Corporation of "Amigos del Teatro Municipal". She has attended master-classes with: the counter-tenor Benno Schachtner at the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile; with the American mezzo-soprano Jennifer Larmore at the Teatro municipal de Santiago; with the tenor Mauricio Miranda and soprano Myriam Singer at the University of Talca.
Fanny Becerra has been a member of large choirs such as: Coro del Teatro Municipal de la Condes (since June 2018), Coro Madrigalista Universidad de Santiago (since June 2018), Coro de la universidad de Santiago, Agrupación FemmeVocal (since August 2019; Director: Manuel Suazo); Coro de Cámara de la Universidad de Talca (including particpation in national and international tours of Argentina, Peru, Brazil and Ecuador), Camerata vocal “Vox Lumini” (Talca), Ensamble Vocal Tomás Luis de Victoria (since October 2019), Opera Workshop (FONDART Universidad de Talca, Miryam Singer-Grete Bussenius, March 2019).
Fanny Becerra has been soloist in the following concerts: Abendmusik in Der Marienkirche by Dietrich Buxtehude Universidad Católica de Chile, Profesor Eduardo Jahnke; Opera La Traviata by G. Verdi, Teatro Regional del Maule (November 2015). Rodrigo Navarrete- Francisco Rettig and in the Concert: "Ópera Alemana" Liga Chileno-Alemana Profesor Ahlke Scheffelt. The main roles Fanny Becerra has performed: Flora Bervoix in G. Verdi's La Traviata, Rosalinde in R. Strauss' Die Fledermaus, Cherubino in W.A. Mozart's Le Nozze di Figaro. She currently lives in Santiago, Chile and teaches singing at Santa Cecilia - Conservatorio (since March 2020). She is a member of the vocal ensemble of Bach Santiago (2023). |
