The American soprano, Anna Bjerken, obtained her Bachelor of Music degree in Vocal Performance from Eastman School of Music at Rochester (August 2022-May 2026). She currently studies at Eastman for her Master of Music degree (since September 2026; expected graduation: 2028).
A passionate interpreter of both early and contemporary repertoire, Anna Bjerken has performed with the Boston Early Music Festival, Mostly Modern Festival, and Eastman Opera Theater, singing the roles of Margarita Xirgu in Golijov’s Ainadamar, Agrippina in George Frideric Handel's Agrippina, and covering Octavia in the North American premiere of Reinhard Keiser's Octavia. She currently lives in Rochester, New York. |
