The French tenor, Tarik Bousselma, began his musical career studying piano and horn. He began his singing studies at the Conservatoire de Lille in Annick My's class and attended master-classes with François Leroux and Pierre Hantaï. In 2011, he was admitted to the Hochschule für Musik Hanns Eisler Berlin (September 2011-March 2013), where he studied with Diane Forlano, Thomas Quasthoff, and Julia Varady.
After his studies, Tarik Bousselma performed in numerous repertoires, performing with the Baroque ensembles: Le Poème Harmonique (Director: Vincent Dumestre), Harmonia Sacra (Director: Yannick Lemaire), Ensemble Pygmalion (since June 2018, Director: Raphaël Pichon), Vox Luminis (Director: Lionel Meunier), Ensemble BachPlus (Director: Bart Naessens), Marguerite Louise (Director: Gaetan Jarry), Europa Galante (Director: Fabio Biondi), and Le Concert d'Astrée (since March 2019, Director: Emmanuelle Haïm).
Since October 2018, Tarik Bousselma has performed at the Opéra Comique in Gluck's Orphée et Eurydice, Monteverdi's Vespers and Stravaganza d'amore with the Ensemble Pygmalion. He also performed at the Elbphilharmonie in Hamburg alongside Fabio Biondi and his Europa Galante Ensemble. He currently lives in Paris, France. |
