The German tenor, Jonas Boy, studied music education since 2011, and since 2013 has been in the singing class of Profesor Andreas Karasiak at the Hochschule für Musik Mainz.
Jonas Boy gained his first opera experience in Benjamin Britten's The little sweep and W.A. Mozart's La finta giardiniera as part of the "Singing Summer" of the Hochschule für Musik Mainz. In December 2013, he sang J.S. Bach's Weihnachts-Oratorium (BWV 248) in all six cantatas in a project of the excellence program Barock Vokal, conducted by Felix Koch. In 2014 he guested with Barock Vokal at the Schwetzinger Festspiele and at Oper Köln (Johann Adolf Hasse's Leucippo). At the Hessisches Staatstheater Wiesbaden he sangs Armindo in Die Irrungen der Liebe. (November-December 2015). He currently lives in Mainz, Germany. |
