The Spanish tenor, conductor and pianist, Vicente Bujalance, began his piano and musical language studies in Almensilla, and later with Jose María Lastrucci and Ignacio Torner at the Conservatorio profesional Cristóbal de Morales de Sevilla, receiving a master-class from Anna Arzamanova and Pavel Nersessián, Professor at the Piotr Ilich Tchaikovsky Conservatory in Moscow. Convinced of the importance of music in education, he graduated in Teaching specializing in Music Education from the Universidad de Sevilla (Class of 2008). There he is part of the Coro de Cámara Maese Rodrigo directed by Alberto J. Álvarez. His growing interest in singing led him to study at the Conservatory with Patrocinio Sánchez and Esperanza Melguizo, expanding his training in various courses with Pierangelo Pelucchi and Rosa de Alba. He is currently studying singing with Cristina Bayón and choral conducting at the Conservatorio Superior Manuel Castillo de Sevilla (2015-2019), with Esther Sanzo and Juan García, and has received conducting courses given by Bart Vandewege, Miguel Ángel García Cañamero and Javier Corcuera.
Vicente Bujalance has been an occasional guest conductor at the Joven Orquesta Filarmonía de Sevilla, performing two concerts with music by Haydn, Tchaikovsky, L.v. Beethoven and Dvorak. He has participated in various formations such as the Coro Barroco de Andalucía (2009-2010), where he received classes from Yolanda Lázaro and Lambert Climent; and the Coro Joven de Andalucía, in which he receives vocal training from Cristina Koch, Francisco Poyato, Carlos Aransay, Julia Oliva, Francisco Fernández-Rueda, Marco Scavazza and Lluís Vilamajó. He has spent 4 seasons in the Coro del Teatro de la Maestranza (2013-2017) and has also been a member of the Coro de Cámara Sicut Lilium, directed and vocally advised by Juan Sancho.
As a pianist he has offered concerts in Sevilla playing pieces by J.S. Bach, Johannes Brahms, Debussy and Francis Poulenc; and as a solo tenor he has performed various popular music concerts with his chamber group Trio Skerzo, where he himself composes and elaborates the instrumental arrangement of the pieces. He has also interpreted madrigals by Monteverdi and arias by Purcell, George Frideric Handel, W.A. Mozart, Rossini, Donizetti and Charles Gounod, as well as the zarzuela Salir el amor del Mundo by Sebastián Durón with the Orquesta Barroca Cristóbal de Morales, El Fantasma de la Ópera with the institution of the Liceo de la Música de Moguer, Antonio Vivaldi's Magnificat with the Joven Coro y la Joven Orquesta Barroca de Andalucía, G.F. Handel's The Messiah and J.S. Bach's Johannes-Passion BWV 245, with the Orquesta y el Coro de Emprendes Música. He currently lives in Sevilla, Andalucia, Spain. |
