The Australian soprano, Claire Burrell-McDonald, obtained her Bachelor of Arts degree in English/Music from (2009-2015); her Graduate Diploma of Music Performance (February-December 2020); and her Master of Music degree in Opera Performance (January 2021-December 2022), all from the Sydney University.
Claire Burrell-McDonald is a freelance soprano since 2007, based in Sydney, New South Wales. She is a member of Choir of St James' King Street. She has also worked at Musica Viva Australia Development Intern (March-June 2013), Development Assistant (June 2013-May 2014), Development Coordinator (May 2014-February 2016), Development Research and Database Manager (February 2016-April 2017); Executive Assistant to the Principal at SEDA College NSW (October 2017- March 2020); Aerialize Administrator at Aerialize (January-May 2021); Grants, Projects and Events Manager at GOAL College (since June 2021); and She brings experience from previous roles at Freelance Performance, Aerialize, SEDA College NSW and Musica Viva Australia.
