The American baritone, Curtis Crafton, received his Bachelor of Arts in Music, Applied Voice from the College of Idaho and is currently pursuing a Master of Music in Voice from the Jacobs School of Music of Indiana University in Bloomington. While at the College of Idaho, Crafton was the winner of the Intermountain Region NATS competition, winner of the Treasure Valley NATS competition, and selected as baritone soloist in the Idaho Arts Showcase. Crafton is a student of Timothy Noble.
With College of Idaho Opera Theater, Curtis Crafton was seen in the roles of Olin Blitch from Carlisle Floyd’s Susannah, The Unnamed Bass from Edwin Penhorwood’s Too Many Sopranos, and Figaro from W.A. Mozart's The Marriage of Figaro. Last season (2008-2009) at Indiana University Opera Theater, he performed the role of the Herald in Jules Massenet’s Cendrillon. |
