The Belgian counter-tenor and trombonist, Robke (Rob) Cuppens, studied since 2002 solo singing with Professor F. Kokkelmans and trombone and Baroque trombone with Professor H. Ries at the Conservatorium van Maastricht. From 2007 he continued his singing studies at Koninklijk Conservatorium Brussel, where his teacher was Mrs. Lena Lootens. In preparation for his musical studies, he received his final certificate trombone cum laude from teacher Vic Vos at the Stedelijk Conservatorium voor Muziek, Woord en Dans van Hasselt, as well as piano with Jean-Marie Van Broeckhoven and music theory (high distinction) with the teacher Jos Cuppens.
Robke Cuppens is a member of the World Youth Choir, with which he has already made concert tours in Japan, South Korea, France, Italy, Sicily, Switzerland, Austria and Germany. He is also a regular member of the Manteliusensemble Hasselt (B) and the Koninklijk Harmonieorkest St. Cecilia van Kuringen (B), both under the direction of Jos Cuppens. |
