The German baritone, Kevin Dickmann, studied at the Hochschule für Musik Detmold. During his singing studies, he regularly performed at the am Detmolder Landestheater, where he was also a member of the Opernstudio during his postgraduate studies in music theater. In 2014, he was a scholarship holder of Kunststiftung Nordrhein-Westfalen, as a member of the Lucerne Festival Academy, took part in the performance of Luciano Berio's Coro under the direction of Sir Simon Rattle. Master-classes with Roman Trekel and Kwangchul Youn (opera), Eric Schneider and Olaf Bär (Lied composition) and Harry Kupfer (scenic design) complemented his studies. He is a certified studio and dubbing artist (iSSF, 2020).
From 2014 to 2016, Kevin Dickmann was seen at the Kammeroper Köln as Count Almaviva in W.A. Mozart's Le nozze di Figaro, Cliff Bradshaw in Cabaret and Danilo in Die lustige Witwe. At the Marburg Castle Festival, he performed as Aeneas (Purcell) and Pelléas (Debussy). The Rathausoper Konstanz Opera engaged him for the productions Orff's Die Kluge (2015), Martinů/Milhaud's Ariadne (2017) and Puccini's Gianni Schicchi (2019). In the 2019-2020 season he appeared in the operetta Der Vetter aus Dingsda at the Landestheater Detmold. He also toured with the Deutschen Musical Company with the two Broadway classics Hello, Dolly! and My Fair Lady. In 2021 he was on stage at the Luisenburg-Festspielen Wunsiedel and was part of the ensemble of the 1920s show Berlin Berlin for the first time.
In addition to his solo work, Kevin Dickmann is a freelancer with the WDR Rundfunkchor Köln, with whom he performed Henze’s Floß der Medusa and Arthur Honegger’s Jeanne d’Arc at Hamburg’s Elbphilharmonie in 2017. In the same year, he traveled to Bolivia at the invitation of the Goethe Center to take part as a soloist in the premiere of L.v. Beethoven's Symphony No. 9 in Santa Cruz de la Sierra. He is is also a member of Chorus Musicus Köln (Director: Christoph Spering). |
