Neima Fischer (Soprano)

Born: Berlin, Germany

The German-French soprano, Neima Fischer, started at the age of 7 to sing in the girls choir of the Berliner Singakademie under the baton of Friederike Stahmer, while additionally studying the violin. It is already at a young age that she had chances and opportunities to perform and work with many different ensembles of high level and distinction. She hereby quickly discovered her great passion for voice and music. In 2020 she began her Bachelor of Arts degree at the Hochschule für Musik, Theater und Medien Hannover, where she studied with Sabine Ritterbusch, Anne Champert and Jan Phillip Schulze and completed her studies in 2025. She spent a year as an exchange student at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse in Paris (Class of 2024), where she was selected to take part in Ton Koopman's master-classes and concerts at the Royal Conservatory in The Hague and gained even broader approach to her artistry.

Already during her studies, Neima Fischer performed the roles of La Petite Fille in August Enna's La Petite Fille aux allumettes, Colombine in Mondsüchtig , staged by Mascha Poerzgen and as Zaide in W.A. Mozart's Singspiel., J.S. Bach's Weihnachts-Oratorium BWV 248, Johannes-Passion BWV 245; W.A. Mozart's Requiem, G.F. Handel's The Choice of Hercules as Pleasure, César Franck's Les Béatitudes or as Belinda in Purcell's Dido and Aeneas. Her repertoire also includes roles such as Blonde in W.A. Mozart's Entführung aus dem Serail, Olympia in Les contes d’Hoffmann, Juliette in Charles Gounod's Roméo et Juliette, Morgana in G.F. Handel's Alcina.

In 2023, Neima Fischer participated with great sucess in the international Cesti-Competition for Baroque Opera of Innsbrucker Festwochen of ancient music (Innsbruck) 2023, receiving the emerging talent award as well as an engagement prize with the renown Baroque orchestra Il Gusto Barocco under the bâton or Jörg Halubek, which led to collaborations in 2024. In 2024, and was a finalist in the Bundeswettbewerb Gesang competition (Berlin).

Neima Fischer established herself early on as a soloist in the concert and oratorio field and is highly requeted. Her path is currently taking her throughout Germany, Europe and beyond. In November 2023 she got invited to sing concerts in Turkmenistan as part of the cultural exchange between Europe and Central Asia. She performs with orchestras and ensembles such as the Lautten Compagney Berlin, National Orchestra of Turkmenistan, the Accademia Bizantina Ensemble (Ravenna), Oldenburg Opera Orchestra, Voces8 Ensemble and Jupiter Ensemble, notably under the direction of Ottavio Dantone, Kai-Uwe Jirka, Hendrik Vestmann, Ton Koopman and Thomas Dunford.

She also has been invited to make her debut at the Innsbrucker Festwochen 2024 as Arianna in George Frideric Handel's Arianna in Creta. In 2025, she was nominated for the Österreichischer Musiktheaterpreis 2025 for this performance. She took part in the Heidelberg Frühling Festival 2024-2025 of the Academy of Lied (German folk song or melody), after attending master-classes with Thomas Hampson and Susan Manoff. She performed Murmures Célestes et Marins, a new work for Solo Soprano and Orchestra by French composer Pierre Thilloy with the national orchestra of Turkmenistan.

Furthermore Neima Fischer is scholarship holder of Yehudi Menuhin Live music now Hannover e.V. That same year, she was awarded a scholarship from the Deutsche Stiftung Musikleben. Neima Fischer joins the Académie de l'Opéra national de Paris in September 2025 as singer-in-residence.
