The Danish soprano, Laura Flensted-Jensen, studied at t Det Jyske Musikkonservatorium; Musicology at Aarhus University (August 1995-August 1997); Classical singing in the Soloist class at The Royal Academy of Music, Aarhus/Aalborg (August 1997-June 2004).
Laura Flensted-Jensen has been singer and choir master at Ry Kirke; has sung with the Det Jyske Kammerkor and at Den Jyske Opera (May 2008-December 2010). She has worked at Den Jyske Sangskole in Herning, Midtjylland, Danmark: Singing teacher and singing consultant (August 2014-June 2018), Project manager for the musical talent classes and a project to develop learning material for the Ministry of Education's online portal, EMU.dk (March 2016-December 2020), Professional leader (January 2019-January 2021); Program manager at Sangens Hus in Herning, Central Jutland, Denmark; Vice head of cultural school at The Creative School Silkeborg (since May 2023). She maried the baritone singer, pianist, organist and conductor Niels Bo Emgren in 2008 and currently lives in Gammel Rye, Arhus, Denmark. |
