The German baritone, Timon Führ, studied singing at the Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst in Frankfurt with Professor Thomas Heyer. He furthered his studies with Johannes Martin Kränzle, Andreas Scholl, Judith Lindenbaum, and Derrick Ballard.
Even during his studies, Timon Führ was engaged for numerous productions outside the university. These included the Opernakademie Bad Orb, Papagenotheater Frankfurt, Junge Oper Rhein-Main, and Burgfestspiele Bad Vilbel. In 2015, he received a guest contract at the Staatstheater Mainz. Since completing his studies, he has been a regular guest at the Kammeroper Frankfurt (2016-2023) and Theater Altes Hallenbad, Friedberg (2018-2023), where he sang, among other roles, Count Almaviva in W.A. Mozart's Le Nozze di Figaro. In 2018, he sang the role of Creon in Cherubini's Médée at the Starnberg Opera. In the 2022-2023 season, he was engaged as Masetto in W.A. Mozart's Don Giovanni at the Theater Nordhausen. In 2024, he appeared as a guest artist in further roles at the Staatstheater Darmstadt (2023) and Theater Nordhausen.
In his hometown of Alzey, Timon Führ performed in the world premiere of the musical Im Schatten von Napoleon (In the Shadow of Napoleon) by Belgian composer B. Appermont. Another world premiere followed in 2017 with the musical König-David-Bericht (King David's Report) by R. Abelein.
In addition to musical theater productions, his concert activities regularly take him to many regions of Germany. His repertoire includes the great oratorios of J.S. Bach, J. Haydn's Die Schöpfung, George Frideric Handel's The Messiah, as well as the romantic baritone parts of Johannes Brahms' Ein deutsches Requiem, Felix Mendelssohn's Walpurgisnacht, and Carl Loewe's Jan Hus.
Since 2019, Timon Führ has been a member of the ensemble "Opera et Cetera," which performs numerous concerts in the Rheingau region and beyond. |
