The American soprano, Sharon Garvey Cohen obtained her Bachelor degree in Music Education from Simpson College (Class of 1985) and her Master of Music degree in Voice Performance from Northwestern University (Class of 1986).
Sharon Garvey has been a soprano with the Lyric opera of Chicago Chorus since 1987, for a total of 33 seasons. She holds a K-12 Music Education in Illinois. She taught voice at Fenton High School in Bensenville (2014-2018) and also teaches violin and piano in a home studio, using mainly the Suzuki method. She currently lives in Itasca, Illinois. |
