The American tenor, arts adnministrator and educator, Joshua S. Glassman, obtained his Bachelor of Music degree in Vocal Performance and Choral Music Education from the University of Michigan (2007-2012); and his Master of Music Vocal Performance from the Peabody Institute of The Johns Hopkins University (2013-2015).
Joshua Glassman is a versatile artist, educator, and administrator. His performing experience encompasses opera, art song, choral music, musical theatre, and cabaret. As a conductor and administrator, Joshua is committed to cultivating a love of music in new audiences and aspiring performers.
Joshua Glassman currently serves as the Artistic and Executive Director of the Otter Creek Music Festival (since July 2022), an all-genre chamber music festival highlighting local and regional artists in intimate, unique venues along Otter Creek in Central Vermont. Until recenly he was also Assistant Conductor of Boston Children's Chorus (September 2021-June 2024). His previous directorial roles include leading the Glee Club at the University of Pennsylvania (July 2015-July 2018), where he was also a member of the voice faculty, and founding the Mt. Vernon Consort in Baltimore (June 2015) and House Music Philadelphia (September 2017-August 2020).
Solo performances include appearances with the Embassy Series in Washington, D.C., the Jupiter Symphony Chamber Players, and the Grace Church Choral Society in New York. Joshua Glassman is a former member of the Princeton Festival Baroque Chorus and the professional opera choruses of Philadelphia, Detroit, and Baltimore. He currently performs with Nightingale Vocal Ensemble and Cantata Singers in Boston. He currently lives in Boston, Massachusetts. |
