The Belgian mezzo-soprano, voice teacher and choral conductor, Eva Goudie-Falckenbach, obtained her Master of Music degree in Singing from Lemmensinstituut Leuven, Belgium (1996-2001). She studied with Lieve Van Haverbeke, Elisabeth Hermans, Jard van Nes, Bart De Kegel…
Eva Goudie-Falckenbach's musical career is characterized by great versatility and an eye-opening view of the world. The dramatic mezzo-soprano is invariably found on and around the stage, as a soloist, in ensembles, but also as a conductor and teacher. Soon after her studies, she was heard with many ensembles such as Il Fondamento (Director: Paul Dombrecht), Currende (Director: Erik van Nevel), and Capella Brugensis (Director: Patrick Peire), and she performed as a soloist in J.S. Bach's Matthäus-Passion BWV 244 and Johannes-Passion BWV 245, George Frideric Handel's The Messiah, and others…
Since 2001, Eva Goudie-Falckenbach has been a permanent member of the Brussels-based Vlaams Radio Koor (Current Director: Bart Van Reyn), one of the most prominent chamber choirs in Europe. She has worked with renowned conductors such as Hervé Niquet, Mariss Jansons, Bernard Haitink, Martina Batiç, Klaas Stok, Bart Van Reyn, Jos Venken, Bart Naessens…
Goudie-Falckenbach is affiliated as a choir teacher with the Academie voor Muziek Woord en Dans in Londerzeel and has been at the helm of the Amicalekoor Malderen since 2007. She delves into the connection between voice and being, an incredibly fascinating subject. She is a founding member of the female vocal ensemble BoucheB, a wonderfully eccentric sextet that focuses primarily on six-part a cappella repertoire spanning the last four centuries. She currently lives in Malderen, Brabant, Belgium. |
