The Danish tenor, Rasmus Gravers Nielsen, studied at the Kongelige Danske Musikkonservatorium (Royal Danish Music Conservatory) with Bodil Gümoes. He had further studies at Tonny Landy and has also received instruction by Paul Hillier and Anthony Rolfe Johnson.
Rasmus Gravers Nielsen has worked as a soloist at a number of church and oratoroio concerts, including W.A. Mozart's Requiem, Haydn's Creation, Evangelist in J.S. Bach's Johannes-Passion (BWV 245), J.S. Bach's Weihnachts-Oratorium (BWV 248), and George Frideric Handel's Messiah, both with the Øresunds Barokensemble. He recently sang Robert Schumann's Requiem and the role of Beppo / Harlekin in Leoncavallo's I Pagliacci (Der Bajazzo) at Takkeloftet på Holmen. He was for the first time a soloist with the Copenhagen Academy Orchestra & Chorus (Akademisk Kor) in Charpentier's Te Deum in 2000 and again in G.F. Handel's Messiah in 2004. He was again a soloist in the 2006 Credo concert.
Rasmus Gravers Nielsen is a member of DR KoncertKoret and Copenhagen Soloists (Director: Jonathan Ofir). He currently lives in Copenhagen, Denmark. |
