The French counter-tenor (and conductor), Thierry Grégoire, was the winner of the Yehudi Menuhin Foundation and the Vellutti International Competitions.
Thierry Grégoire's youthful and promising voice, with a rare and exquisite range, was soon noticed and he was invited to the biggest music festivals. He has also performed on the international scene in cities such as Vienna, Amsterdam, and Paris. The best of the repertoire of Baroque operas and concerts were offered quite naturally to him. He is participating actively in the Italian Barga Festival for Antonio Vivaldi's new productions. He is also interested in contemporary works. In 2003, he also performed in a recital with the mezzo-soprano Magdalena Kožená at Utrecht and Dijon, which fetched him the Prague Golden Prize for the best European televised concert. In 2004 he sang at Luz Church in Chennai cantata of George Frideric Handel, accompanied by Emilie Audouin and Ronaldo Correia de Lima Lopes who played De Visée and Marin Marais. |
