Marco Guidorizzi (Tenor, Piano)

Born: Reggio Emilia, Italy

The Italian pianist and tenor, Marco Guidorizzi, began his musical studies at the Scuola di Musica C. Confetta" in Novellara (RE). After obtaining a classical high school diploma, he continued his piano studies at the Conservatorio Arrigo Boito in Parma in Principal Piano and Collaborator Maestro, also attending the Faculty of Letters. Following choral experiences, he decided to undertake the study of opera singing, currently under the guidance of Sonia Ganassi. He enriched his education by attending master-classes in piano, singing and music education (S. Siman, W. Marzilli, G. Salvetti, F. Ottaviucci, L. Bams, P. Barbacini, S. Ganassi).

Marco Guidorizzi has collaborated with various musical associations and music schools as an accompanying pianist for choirs and singers, piano teacher, holding concerts, concert-lessons, musical literacy projects and children's choir. He has worked as a piano collaborator maestro for various theatrical, opera and operetta productions. He is a member of the Cappella Musicale della Cattedrale di Reggio Emilia directed by Maestro Primo Lotti; he collaborates as a soloist with the Cattedrale di Modena directed by Maestro Daniele Bononcini and with other vocal groups of early and chamber music. Since 2012, he has directed the Coro Civico Città di Castellarano.

Since 2017, following an audition and having acquired suitability, Marco Guidorizzi has worked as a Choir Artist with the Coro del Teatro Municipale di Piacenza, the Coro Lirico Città di Modena del Teatro Pavarotti-Freni (MO) and with the Coro Claudio Merulo del Teatro Municipale Romolo Valli (RE) for their operatic and concert productions. In 2018 he participated as a Choir Artist in the 44th edition of the Festival della Valle d'Itria of Martina Franca. Since 2019, following an audition and having acquired suitability, he has participated as a Chorus Artist at the Festival Puccini di Torre del Lago Puccini and at the Donizetti Opera Festival in Bergamo.

In 2021 Marco Guidorizzi performed as a solo tenor in the realization of a new creation by the Fondazione Nazionale della Danza Aterballetto of Arvo Pärt's Stabat Mater, also participating in the filming of a dedicated docufilm for RAI 5 ("Stabat Mater - danzare oltre i confini").

Marco Guidorizzi is involved in an intense concert activity as a pianist (solo repertoire, piano four-hands, chamber repertoire), accompanist and solo tenor. Since the 2016-2017 school year he has taught piano at the "NonSoloNote" school in Bagnolo in Piano (RE).
