The Swiss-born soprano, Delia Haag, comes from a Hungarian-Swiss family of musicians and has a rich musical background. She played the violin from early childhood and gained her first singing experience as a member of the Luzerner Kantorei and through vocal lessons with Brigitte Kuster (Kantonsschule Alpenquai, Luzern, Class of 2014). She obtained her Bachelor of Arts degree in Music (Class of 2017); and her Master of Arts degree in Vocal Pedagogy under Professor Barbara Löcher (Class of 2019), both from Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts (German: Musikhochschule Luzern) (HSLU). She also received important inspiration from Klesie Kelly-Moog, Anna Korondi, Ferenc Rados, Malcolm Walker, and Katalin Schultz. She also holds a Bachelor's degree in Health Sciences and Technology from ETH Zürich.
Delia Haag regularly performs as a soloist in masses and oratorios. She has sung with the Bach Collegium Zürich (Director: Bernhard Hunziker), and with Chor der J.S. Bach-Stiftung St. Gallen (Director: Rudolf Lutz), performed J.S. Bach's Pentecost Cantata under the direction of Stephen Smith, and W.A. Mozart's Requiem under the direction of Pascal Mayer. At the Lucerne Festival at Easter, she participated in the concert of the Akademiechores Luzern under the direction of Ulrike Grosch, also as a soloist. In the summer of 2018, she sang the role of Lisetta in the Opernhausen production of Joseph Haydn's opera La vera costanza. She is also passionate about Lieder and regularly performs in chamber music concerts.
In addition to her concert performances as a singer, Delia Haag teaches privately. |
