The Grman baritone, Andreas Heinemeyer, studied singing in Bremen and Hamburg with Thomas Mohr, Krisztina Láki and Geert Smits. He attended master-classes with Andreas Schmidt, Brigitte Fassbaender, Christiane Iven, Magreet Honig and Kiri Te Kanawa. In 2015 he was awarded 1st Prize by the Elise-Meyer-Stiftung Hamburg.
Andreas Heinemeyer has performed in various university productions in both Bremen and Hamburg. His preference is for the more "modern" opera. He sang Tarquinius in Benjamin Britten's The Rape of Lucretia, the Ferryman in B. Britten's Curlew River and Paul in Glass' Les Enfants Terrible. He made his debut at the Stadttheater Bremerhaven in 2014 with the role of Hans Scholl in M. Davies M. Davies' Kommilitonen. In 2015, he was also heard at the Theaterfabrik Hamburg as Danilo in Lehár's Die lustige Witwe. He completed his studies (Master of Opera) as Aeneas in Purcell's Dido and Aeneas and Bartley in Ralph Vaughan Williams' Riders to the sea in 2017.
His concert repertoire includes George Frideric Handel's Messiah, the Requiems of W.A. Mozart, Johannes Brahms, Gabriel Fauré and Maurice Duruflé as well as the Passions, Masses and Cantatas of J.S. Bach. He sang at the opening concert of the Lübecker Buxtehude Tage 2017 and at the SHMF Festival.
He made his debut at the Glocke Bremen with the Henze Orchester under Marc Piollet with Gustav Mahler's Liedern eines fahrenden Gesellen. He also regularly gives recitals, most recently with Robert Schumann's Kerner Lieder. Concert tours have taken him to Europe and beyond, including to China with Orff's Carmina Burana. He works with ensembles such as the Hamburger Symphoniker, NDR Elbphilharmonieorchester, Ensemble Farinelli, Elbipolis, Norddeutschen Barockkollegium, Hamburger Camerata and Barockwerk Hamburg.
In addition to his solo work, Andreas Heinemeyer is also passionate about ensemble singing. He sings with the Arton-Vokalensemble and has been a permanent member of the NDR-Chor since August 2015. |
