The German tenor, Mattis Heyne, studied Classical Philology and Empirical Linguistics (double Bachelor of Ats degree: 2014-2019), funded by the Studienstiftung des deutschen Volkes, in Frankfurt/Main and Vilnius. He obtained his Master of Studies degree in Greek and/or Latin Languages and Literature from Corpus Christi College, University of Oxford. From January 2021, he studies for his Doctor degree in Greek Philology with Professor Dr. Hans Bernsdorff at the Goethe-Universität Frankfurt, supported financially by the Ev. Studienwerk Villigst (until September 2023) and ideally by the Studienstiftung des deutschen Volkes.
Mattis Heyne has worked as 2015-2016: Student assistant in the editing project “The correspondence of the late humanist scholar Nikodemus Frischlin (1547-1590): critical edition, registers, commentary” at Goethe-Universität Frankfurt, FB10 Institut für Neuere Deutsche Literatur, under Professor Robert Seidel (2015-2016); Student assistant at the Chair of Latin Philology, Goethe-Universität Frankfurt, FB10 Institut für Klassische Philologie, under Professor Hans Bernsdorff (2016-2019); 2016-2019: Tutor for Indo-European Morphology and Text Philology at , Goethe-Universität Frankfurt, FB09 Institut für Empirische Sprachwissenschaft, under Professor Jost Gippert (2016-2019); Research assistant in the Chair of Greek Philology at Goethe-Universität Frankfurt, FB09 Institut für Klassische Philologie, undr Professor Thomas Paulsen (representative Dr. Yasmin Schmidt) (October 2020-March 2021). Since October 2023, he is Research assistant in the Chair of Latin Philology at Goethe-Universität Frankfurt, FB09 Institut für Klassische Philologie, under Professor Dr. Hans Bernsdorff.
