The German mezzo-soprano, Dominika Hirschler, studied Baroque singing at the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis from 1996 to 1998. She received important impulses in master-classes with Francois Le Roux (1998), Bernarda Fink (2007) and Margreet Honig (2009). From 2003 she has worked with Stellario Fagone (Bayerische Staatsoper).
As a soloist Dominika Hirschler can be experienced mainly with sacred music in oratorios and orchestral masses, with occasional escapades in the direction of "voice solo". Thematic recitals away from the mainstream with unusual combinations of literature and music are one of their trademarks. She has established herself as a sought-after contralto since 2000 - in top-class ensembles such as the SWR Vokalensemble Stuttgart (September 2017-September 2019), Balthasar-Neumann-Chor (Director: Thomas Hengelbrock; February 2000-June 2013), Collegium Vocale Gent (Director: Philippe Herreweghe; April 2009-October 2011), Deutscher Kammerchor (since May 2009), Vokalsolisten St. Peter/Vokalenensemble in Munich (since September 2012);
and others. In the 2019-2020 season she was a guest in Norway several times with Det Norske Solistkor (Norwegian Soloists´Choir; since October 2019). She also sings in the concert series "Cantate um 1715" (Director: Johanna Soller) in Munich since December 2019.
