Dieter Hubov (Organ, Choral Conductor)

Born: 1968 - Arbon, Canton of Thurgau, Switzerland

The Swiss organist, choral conductor and church musician, Dieter Hubov, studied organ (concert and soloist diplomas), piano (teaching diploma), and church music (A level) at the music academies in Hochschule für Musik Regensburg, Hochschule für Musik in Freiburg im Breisgau, Luzern, and Zürich, among others with Klemens Schnorr, Rudolf Lutz, Monika Henking, Rudolf Meyer, and Rudolf Scheidegger. He studied choral conducting with Roland Büchner and Alois Koch. He is a prize-winner at the international organ competition "Gaetano Callido" in Borca di Cadore/Belluno and at the "Kiwanis" organ competition in Zürich.

Dieter Hubov is a regular guest at international organ cycles and festivals in various countries. As a soloist, he has performed with various orchestras (Capella Banatica, Staatliche Philharmonie Kronstadt, Bohemian Symphony Orchestra Prague, Südwestdeutsche Philharmonie Konstanz, Sinfonisches Orchester Arbon, Orchesterwerkstatt Appenzell, Orchester der Musikhochschule Zürich).

Since 2001, Dieter Hubov has worked as a full-time church musician (organist and choir-master) at Kirche St. Martin in Arbon. In addition to his diverse teaching activities as a guest lecturer, including at the Internationalen Temeswarer Orgelwoche, Baden-Badener Korrespondenzen, and Solothurner Kirchenmusikwoche, , he has taught organ and piano at the Musikschule Arbon since 2002.

Numerous CD recordings document his broad concert repertoire. He is also owner of label Arsis.
