The Ecuadorian tenor, Erick Imbaquingo, completed his initial studies at Fundación Orquesta Sinfónica Juvenil del Ecuador (FOSJE) with the teacher Daniela Guzmán. Later, he continued his studies as a scholarship student at the Universidad de los Hemisferios, where he obtained his Bachelor's degree in music, with an emphasis on lyrical singing (August 2012-2016).
Among his solo performances are: Ariel Ramírez's Misa Criolla with the Orquesta de Cámara de la Universidad de los Hemisferios; Himno al Rotario with the Orquesta y Coro de la Universidad de los Hemisferios; Ferrando in W.A. Mozart's Così Fan Tutte with Opera Express; Romancero Gitano with the Ensamble de Guitarras de Quito; Giovanny Mera's Sumak Misa with the Banda Sinfónica Metropolitana de Quito; Beppe in Pagliacci; Saboyano in Luisa Fernanda; Cantata 1822 la batalla que no termina; Cantata 200 años de Gesta Libertaria La historia no contada; Jacinto & Ignacio in El tríptico quiteño. Since January 2020, he performs as an independent artist at the Teatro Nacional Sucre.
Additionally, Erick Imbaquingo worked as a piano and co-repetition teacher at the Conservatorio de Música Mozarte. Currently, he is a member of the Coro Mixto Ciudad de Quito. He currently lives in Quito, Pichincha, Ecuador. |
