Lilia Istratii (Mezzo-soprano)

Born: October 3, 1994 - Floresti, Chişinău, Republic of Moldova

The Moldovan mezzo-soprano, Lilia (Lily) Istratii, studied at Liceul Teoretic "Ion Creanga" in Balti, Moldova (Class of 2012); and at the Academia de Muzica Teatru si Arte Plastice (AMTAP) (Moldova State Academy of Music) in Chișinău, Moldova (2013-2017).

Lily Istratii is a soloist at the Teatrul Național de Operă și Balet "Maria Bieșu" (National Opera and Ballet Theatre) in Chișinău since 2017. She started her career with Lyubasha in Tsar Bride by Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov. She also sang Fidalma in Il matrimonio segreto (January-April 2018); Mamma Lucia in Cavalleria rusticana (April 2018), Olga in Eugene Onegin, Polina in The Queen of Spades. At the present she has an Opera Tour in France with Muse from the opera Le Conte's de Hoffman.
