The American tenor and composer, Joseph Ittoop, obtained his Bachelor of Music degree in Vocal Performance/Opera from the University of North Carolina School of the Arts (2004-2009); and his Master of Music degree in Vocal Performance/Opera from the Indiana University's Jacobs School of Music (August 2016-June 2018/2020), where he also studied Jazz Hands.
Joseph Ittoop has performed extensively as a tenor soloist in opera and oratorio in the USA and Europe. He has been Tenor Soloist at St. Timothy's Episcopal Churchin Raleigh, North Carolina (December 2005-2010); Tenor Section Leader at St. Ambrose Episcopal Church Raleigh, North Carolina (August 2011-January 2013); Tenor Section Leader/Soloist at Christ Episcopal Church in Raleigh (August 2014-September 2019); Accompanist at Indiana University Jacobs School of Music (August 2018-June 2019); Accompanist at Indiana University Department of Theatre, Drama, and Contemporary Dance (since August 2018); Section Leader at Second Presbyterian Church, Indianapolis (September 2019-March 2020); Staff singer at St. Paul's Indy in Indianapolis, Indiana (August 2021-May 2023); Instructor at Stafford Music Academy (since February 2019).
As a composer and arranger, Joseph Ittoop has written works across multiple genres, including string quartets, brass quintets, jazz combos, and voice. In addition to singing, he plays and teaches clarinet, saxophone, and classical/jazz piano. He currently lives in Bloomington, Indiana. |
