The Ameriucan soprano, Stephanie Jabre, obtained her Bachelor of Music degree in Music Education from the University of Dayton where she received both an honors scholarship and performance and education grant (2008-2012); and her graduate degree in Vocal Performance from the Manhattan School of Music in New York (2013-2015). She was also an emerging artist with the Operaworks training program in Los Angeles. She was a Regional Finalist in The 2019 Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions New York Eastern Region.
Stephanie Jabre has performed with several nationally recognized companies including New York City Opera, The Metropolitan Opera Guild, Martina Arroyo’s Prelude to Performance, Nashville Opera, St. Petersburg Opera Company, American Opera Projects, The Westchester Oratorio Society, and others. This past 2019 season, she performed the role of both Lauretta and Suor Genovieffa in the St. Petersburg Opera double bill production of Gianni Schicchi and Suor Angelica. She also made her debuts both with New York City Opera and the Metropolitan Opera Guild where she performed in both the ensemble and sang Lauretta in the Met Guild's concert performance of Gianni Schicchi. Other Past Roles include: Gianetta in L’elisir d’amore, Giuditta in La Giuditta, Pamina in W.A. Mozart's Die Zauberflöte, Amore in Orfeo ed Euridice, Dido in Dido and Aeneas, Mabel in Pirates of Penzance, Mrs. Segstrom in A Little Night Music, Ida in Die Fledermaus, La Zia in Madama Butterfly, Marian Paroo in The Music Man, Ethel Levey in George M!, Cinderella in Into the Woods, Hope Cladwell in Urinetown, Babette in Beauty and the Beast, Alcina in George Frideric Handel's Alcina and Servilia in W.A. Mozart's La Clemenza di Tito. She most recently sang the role of Mary Hatch Bailey in the Larry Keeton Theatre Production of "It's A Wonderful Life."
In concert, Stephanie Jabre has performed solos in G.F. Handel's Messiah, J.S. Bach's Johannes-Passion BWV 245 (Westchester Oratorio Society, 2017), G.F. Handel's Samson, and Antonio Vivaldi’s Gloria, among others. She has made solo guest appearances with the Hamilton-Fairfield Symphony Orchestra performing both concert and operatic works of W.A. Mozart and most recently performed as a featured soloist in the Seasonal Sparkle Concert with St. Petersburg Opera Company where she sang "The Lusty Month of May" and Musetta in the famous Act 3 quartet from La Boheme.
Stephanie Jabre has worked as Sales Representative at The Juilliard School (May 2015-May 2018); Afterschool Director at Montessori Day School of Brooklyn (September 2016-June 2018); Preschool Teacher at Cathedral of the Incarnation Day School in Nashville, Tennessee (August 2018-May 2019); Social Emotional Learning (SEL) Teacher /Afterschool Teacher at University School of Nashville (September 2018-May 201); Product Specialist / Instructional Coach / SEL Curriculum Specialist at QuaverEd in Nashville (since July 2019). |
