The American mezzo-soprano and voice teacher, Patricia (Patty) Kramer, obtained her Bachelor of Music degree in Voice Performance from Concordia College in Moorhead, Minnesota (2007-2011); her Master of Music degree in Voice Performance from Bowling Green State University in Ohio (2012-2014); and her Doctor of Musical Arts in Voice Performance from University of Nebraska-Lincoln (2015-2020), voice teacher and mentor Professor Kate Butler. She was also Choral Schlar at First Plymouth Congregational Church in Lincoln, Nebraska (November 2014/2015-June 2019).
Patricia Kramer has dedicated her life to performing, teaching, and promoting the enhancement of musical awareness and research. She has performed with the Toledo Opera, Fargo-Moorhead Opera, Asheville Lyric Opera, Cedar Rapids Opera Theater, Bowling Green Children’s Opera, Sounds of South Dakota, Inc. and Opera Omaha as well as competing in various competitions, most recently performing as a soloist with Lima Symphony Orchestra after winning the Lima Symphony Concerto Competition. In 2021, she was Contracted Singer at Minnesota Chorale. Currently she is Ensemble singer at VocalEssence in Minneapolis (since September 2019; also Vocal Coach); and Section Leader at Westminster Presbyterian Church, Minneapolis (since September 2021).
Already during her studies Patricia Kramer was Graduate Teaching Assistant at Bowling Green State University (August 2012-May 2014); Graduate Teaching Assistant at University of Nebraska-Lincoln (August 2015-May 2018); Voice Teacher at The Broadway Academy in Sutton, Nebraska (2015-July 2019); Adjunct Instructor of Voice at Peru State College in Peru, Nebraska (December 2016/August 2017-May/June 2019). Since August 2011 she has Private Voice Studio in the Midwest. She also has taught privately in many Nebraska high schools and a returning teacher in the Allegro Wolf Voice Academy in Sutton, Nebraska. Currently, she is Private Voice Teacher at Robbinsdale Armstrong High School (since October 2021). She currently lives in Minneapolis, Minnesota. |
