The Austrian contralto, Johanna Krokovay ((Aschenbrenner), received her musical education at the Vienna Conservatory.
Since 2004, Johanna Krokovay is a member of the Arnold Schoenberg Chor (Director: Erwin Ortner), with whom she has appeared in numerous concert and opera performances in Germany and abroad performes with them also as a soloist. She has gained concert and opera experience in Austria, France and Switzerland. She was alto soloist in concert and opera productions with Nikolaus Harnoncourt (including Kantate zum Tod Kaiser Josefs II, Witch in Purcell's Dido and Aeneas). In Vienna she appeared as a soloist at the Wiener Festwochen, at the Musikverein and at the Theater an der Wien, among others, as well as the Grand Theatre in Aix en Provence (France) and Kultur- und Kongresszentrum Luzern (Switzerland). She has regular church music performances as a soloist broadcast on the radio. She married Marcel Krokovay on March 30, 2012 and currently lives in Vienna, Austria. |
