Thre Italian soprano, Valeria La Grotta, graduated in Opera Singing, then earned Master’s Degree in Baroque Singing at “B. Maderna” Conservatory in Cesena with Roberta Invernizzi (2017-2019). She also studied with Lucrezia Messa, Sonia Prina, Marina De Liso, Sergio Foresti, Paoletta Marrocu, Stefano Aresi, Marco Mencoboni. She also earned II Level Master in Early Music at “S. Pietro a Majella” Conservatory in Naples with Antonio Florio (2018-2020).
Valeria La Grotta performed at Maggio Musicale Fiorentino in Lully’s Acis et Galatée conducted by Federico Maria Sardelli and directed by Benjamin Lazar; Ravello Festival in Purcell’s Dido and Æneas with Cappella Neapolitana; Festival de Música Antigua de Sevilla in Passioni by G. Veneziano; Cantiere Internazionale d’Arte in Montepulciano in the world premiére of Ecco sparir le stelle by C. Boccadoro; Amia-Alsace of Strasbourg in George Frideric Handel's Ode for St. Cecilia’s Day conducted by Martin Gester; Roma Festival Barocco, Festival Notti Sacre with Sonia Prina conducted by Sabino Manzo; Victoria International Arts Festival of Malta. She played the role of Iole in the premiére in modern times of Ercole in Tebe by Jacopo Melani at Teatro della Pergola in Florence conducted by Samuele Lastrucci/Massimo Gasparon; she played Euridice in Luigi Rossi’s Orfeo at Festival Leonardo Leo; Clarice in Paisiello’s Astrologi immaginari at Teatro Romano in Aosta; Aminta in G.F. Handel's Aminta e Fillide conducted by Rinaldo Alessandrini; Carmosina in Claudia vendicata at Giovanni Paisiello Festival (Iason Marmaras/Piero Mastronardi). She made her debut in the premiére of Figli di un dio ubriaco (Antonio Greco/Michela Lucenti) at Teatro Ponchielli in Cremona for Monteverdi Festival and at Piccolo Teatro Strehler in Milan. She played Arbace in Antonio Vivaldi's Catone in Utica at Teatro Comunale in Ferrara (Federico Maria Sardelli/Marco Bellussi).
