Leipziger Bach-Solisten (Vocal Ensemble) |
Founded: 2015 - Leipzig, Saxony, Germany |
The Leipziger Bach-Solisten (Leipzig Bach Soloists) gave their first concert in June 2015. All members are professional singers; the occupations change taking into account the works to be performed. The hallmark of the Leipziger Bach-Solisten is the revival of J.S. Bach's performance practice in which the singers stood in front of the instrumentalists - an unusual musician's performance today. There are four singers in each vocal section, from whose ranks the solo parts are also taken over. In addition to J.S. Bach's works, new vocal works are also performed by the ensemble, whose Director is the former Thomaskantor Georg Christoph Biller. |
