The Belgian baritone, Fabio Lesuisse, studied singing at the Hochschule für Musik und Tanz Köln under Professor Claudia Kunz-Eisenlohr. He obtained his Master of Music degree in Opera from the Hochschule für Musik Franz Liszt Weimar (October 2016-July 2017) and continued his Master of Music studies at the Hochschule für Musik und Tanz Köln Standort Aachen (since October 2017). In 2015, he won first prize at the International Bach Competition in Barcelona.
Already during his studies, Fabio Lesuisse began his artistic and professional career. Subsequent engagements took him to theatres in Bonn, Dortmund (January 2017), Rostock (February 2018), Lucerne, Hanover and Aachen (2015-2017). His roles include Ned Keene in Benjamin Britten's Peter Grimes, Junior in Leonard Bernstein's A Quiet Place, Albert in Werther, Jeletzky in Pique Dame, Anthony Hope in Sweeney Todd, Mercutio in Charles Gounod's Romeo and Juliette and the title role in the world premiere of T.J. Hermann’s Hamlet, where his theatrical and musical ability shined.
From October 2018 to 2021, Fabio Lesuisse was a member of the stable of soloists of the Aachen Theatre Ensemble, where he continued to develop his artistic talent. His versatility and technical mastery not only make him stand out on the theatre stage, but also in the concert repertoire, where he performs the most important works in his repertoire. Concerts have taken him to, among others, Holland, Spain, France, Italy and the Czech Republic.
Currently, Fabio Lesuisse actively participates in ensembles and independent projects, always exploring new formats of musical theatre and concerts. |
