Kameryn Leung (Mezzo-soprano)

Born: USA

The Amercan mezzo-soprano and dedicated scholar, Kameryn Leung, holds degrees from several distinguished institutions: a Master of Arts from Case Western Reserve University (2023), a Graduate Diploma from the New England Conservatory (2015), a Master of Music from Bard College Conservatory (2013), and a Bachelor of Music from Louisiana College (2007). Her artistry has been shaped by guidance from leading vocal coaches and teachers including Ellen Hargis, Dawn Upshaw, Dina Toliver, Kayo Iwama, Margo Garrett, and Mark Markham.

Kameryn Lueng is an acclaimed recitalist, concert soloist, and historical performance specialist whose artistry spans from the medieval era to contemporary works. Known for her radiant tone and agile vocalism, she has captivated audiences across the USA, with appearances at venues including The Morgan Library in New York City, the Tanglewood Music Center, and the Boston Early Music Festival. She is also a current ensemble vocalist with the GRAMMY-nominated chamber choir True Concord, based in Tucson, Arizona and has also appeared with The Newberry Consort (Chicago), one of the nation’s leading early music ensembles.

Kameryn Leung has performed a wide range of operatic roles, bringing both dramatic depth and musical nuance to her portrayals. Her credits include Damigelle and Dancer in La Liberazione di Ruggiero dall’isola d’Alcina, the Squirrel in The Cricket Recovers, Despina in W.A. Mozart's Così fan tutte, Miss Jessel in Benjamin Britten's The Turn of the Screw, and Belinda in Dido & Aeneas among others. She has performed under the baton of notable conductors such as Thomas Adès, Stephen Lord, James Bagwell, as well as Eric Holtan and David Smith.

With a distinctive voice and a passion for storytelling through song, Kameryn Lueng continues to forge a compelling path in both traditional and innovative vocal performance.
