The American baritone, Joshua (Josh) Levine, studied at Hightower High School in Missouri City, Texas (2006-2010). He obtained his Bachelor of Music degree in Choral Music Education from the University of Houston (2010-2015), where he was active in both the choral and opera programs. He directed the student-founded, multi-conductor choral ensemble Ardore, a group focused on educating and supporting aspiring choral conductors. He was also a section leader in the school’s Concert Chorale. While a member of this prestigious ensemble, the group won major international choral competitions in Germany in both 2013 and 2015. During his studies there, he was also Choral Scholar at Chorus Angelorum in Houston (November 2012-December 2014); Staff Singer at Our Lady of Walsingham Catholic Church in Houston (August 2012-April 2015).
Joshua Levine was Music Teacher at Congregation Beth Israel Religious School (August 2005-May 2012). He began serving Temple Sinai in Houston as Cantorial Soloist in October 2008, and he now serves many other temples in the Houston area as well (Temple Beth Tikvah in Houston since November 2012; Temple Beth Torah in Humble since December 2013). In addition to his work as a professional cantorial soloist, he is Assistant Choir Director at Spring High School in Spring ISD (since August 2015). He is also a member of Bach Society Houston (Director: Rick Erickson). He currently lives in Houston, Texas. |
