The Hong Kong Chinese violinist and conductor, Enoch Li, ia a 2nd-prize winner of the inaugural Ysaye International Music Competition, has received a number of awards from competitions both internationally and locally and has attended master-classes by renowned musicians such as Ilya Grubert, Kirill Troussov, Ning Feng, and Christoph Poppen. As a conductor, he began his studies under the tutelage of Dr. Wai Hong Yip in 2018. His teachers include Federico Cortese and Samuel Pang; he has participated in master-classes by Mark Laycock and Tim Redmond. He is a senior enrolled in the Harvard-New England Conservatory dual degree program and is studying with Nicholas Kitchen; he also studies violin with Lewis Kaplan. At Harvard he is a Mathematics major (since 2022; expected graduaion: 2026)..
Enoch Li has made his solo debut in prestigious halls worldwide including the Finlandia Hall Helsinki, the Capella Saint Petersburg, and the Shanghai Oriental Art Centre. He co-founded and debuted with the Hong Kong Youth Philharmonia in 2021 and returned to conduct the orchestra in 2023. |
