The Indonesian soprano and choral conductor and voice teacher, Fiona Luisa, studied Food Technology at Universitas Pelita Harapan; and obtained ahe Bachelor of Music degree in Artistic and Pedagogical Training - Elementary Music Pedagogy - Singing and her Master of Music degree in Vocal Performance (since 2022) from the Hochschule für Musik, Theater und Medien Hannover. During her tinme there, she was Student Assistant (2019-2020).
Since young age, Fiona Luisa sung with Batavia Madrigal Singers (2009-2017; Director: Avip Priatna) as soloist as well as a choir singer in numerous concerts and competitions around the world, including in the USA and Europe. She also gained years of teaching experience in Indonesia with he award-winning Resonanz Children's Choir (2011-2017) and The Resonanz Music Studio (2010-2017). She was also Conductor at Community Music Center (2012-2014);\
In Germany, she has been intensively involved in various singing-related activities with people from all age groups with different musical backgrounds. She finds singing, vocal-teaching, and choir coaching very interesting, especially the science and the practical skills of voice-building. She has been Children Choir Conductor of Quilisma Kinderchor in Springe, Lower Saxony (2020-2022); Music Teacher - Elementary Music Pedagogy at Musikschule der Landeshauptstadt Hannover (2020-2022); Choir Director of Cantamus Kinder- und Jugendchor at Staatstheater Kassel (since April 2022);
Currently, she is living in Hannover, singing with the NDR Vokalensemble Hamburg (since September 2024; Director: Klaas Stok), and singing here and there as concert-soloist in various Oratorios and Concerts in Germany. Pieces such as Bach's B Minor Mass, Händel's Messiah, Schütz's musikalische Exequien, and Monteverdi's Marienvesper, and many more. German Lied Repertoires from Schubert, Schumann, Strauss and Brahms are also her absolute favorites. |
