The Austrian bass, Paul Mayr, studied from 1979 music education and singing at the Hochschule für Musik in Wien under Professor Rotraud Hansmann.
Before joining the RIAS-Kammerchor Berlin in 1991, Paul Mayr sang in the world premiere of the opera un re in ascolto by Luciano Berio at the Salzburger Festspiele, Wiener Staatsoper and La Scala in Milan. He also sang Tim in the world
premiere of the opera Bremer Freiheit by Adriana Hölzsky at the Biennale München, Staatsoper Stuttgart and in touring performances at the Wiesbadener Maifestspielen, Wiener Festwochen and Helsinki State Opera. |
