The American baritone and voice instructor, Allyn Hayes McCourt III, obtained his Bacheloer of Music degreee Magna Cum Laude from University of Massachusetts Lowell (2010-2015); and his Master of Music degree in Vocal Pedagogy from New England Conservatory of Music (2015-2017).
Allyn McCourt is a versatile artist whose passion and dedication have left a lasting impression on the realms of music education, performance, and artistic leadership. He proudly serves as the Director of Music Ministry and Choirmaster at St. Ignatius of Loyola in Chestnut Hill on Boston College's campus (since August 2018).
A respected educator, Allyn McCourt imparts his knowledge and passion for music as a faculty member at the University of Massachusetts - Lowell, where he teaches Music Theory. He previously served as the Executive Director of the UML String Project & Youth Orchestra (since September 2017), overseeing showcases and securing grants, including a $50,000 grant from the Parker Foundation and the Office of the Chancellor. In addition to his teaching and leadership roles, his talent as a baritone has earned him recognition as a frequent soloist with the Cambridge-based choir, Cantata Singers.
Outside the classroom, sanctuary, and concert hall, Allyn McCourt dedicates himself to nurturing aspiring musicians as a coach and private instructor, most recently joining the faculty at The Rivers School Conservatory (since September 2024). With his rich voice, virtuosic command of strings, and unwavering commitment to artistic excellence, he continues to captivate audiences and inspire future generations through the transcendent power of music. He currently lives in Boston, Massachusetts. |
