The American lyric tenor, obtained his Bachelor of Music degree in Vocal Performance (2014), and his Master of Music degree in Vocal Performance (2017), both from Longy School of Music of Bard College.
Fausto Miro is a critically acclaimed performer of concert and operatic repertoire and has appeared on the stages of some of the country's leading ensembles. This includes the New York Opera Studio, Boston Opera Collective, Opera Tampa, St. Petersburg Opera Company, The Florida Orchestra, Master Chorale of Tampa Bay, and the Opera Festival of San Luis Potosi, where he succeeded as a finalist in the Linus Lerner International Vocal Competition. Recently returned from Mexico, he performed the role of Alfred in Opera San Luis’ production of Die Fledermaus, to great acclaim. He was praised by the Boston Musical Intelligencer for his "clear, powerful burnished tenor, resonant and easy even in the highest reaches of his voice," and the South Florida Sun-Sentinel for his “thrilling dramatic impact.”
A resident of Boston, Fausto Miro serves as tenor section leader at Trinity Church in Copley Square and was recently appointed the newest Cantorial soloist of the Central Reform Temple of Boston. He performs throughout New England as a core member and featured soloist with local organizations such as Cappella Clausura, The Copley Singers, and Renaissance Men (New England's professional male vocal chamber ensemble), Labyrinth Choir, Polymnia Choral Society, The Old North Marblehead Festival Chorus, Portsmouth Symphony Orchestra, and Renaissance Men. His 2017-2018 seaon included many wonderful performances, and he was elated to sing with organizations such as the New York Opera Studio, Boston Opera Collaborative (his role debut as Rodolfo in La Boheme, April 2018), and Opera Theater of Cape Cod. In the 2022-2023 season, he joined the roster of Emmanuel Music. |
