The American baritone and music pedagogue, Fredric William "Fritz" Moses, was an accomplished baritone singing in the USA and Europe He enjoyed a lifelong dedication to music, performing as a soloist with such conductors as Joshua Rifkin and Robert Shaw. In the USA, he sang with the Detroit Symphony Orchestra, Boston Bach Ensemble and Washington Cathedral Choral Society and abroad with the Stadttheater Trier, Stadttheater Oberhausen and London Contemporary Opera.
Fredric Moses taught at the University of Iowa, University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill and the North Carolina School of the Arts. His last post was Professor of Voice with the Hartt School at the University of Hartford. Fritz also was a gourmet cook, avid gardener, passionate tennis player and poet.
Fredric Moses died on July 8, 200) with his soul mate and wife Erica at his side. He is survived by his cherished children and step-children, Alita, 15, Oliver, 5, Vicky, 19 and Dylan, 14. He is also survived by his mother Marion Moses and brother and sister-in-law Tim and Joanne, all of California and his brother Jim and Bobbie of Wyoming. |
