The Russian mezzo-soprano, Anna Padalko, initially studied choir conducting at the Petersburg Conservatory with Professor Tatjana Nemkina, where she graduated with distinction in 2016. In 2021, she completed her artistic maturity examination in oratorio and Lieder singing with Professor Heidrun Luchterhandt at the Hochschule für Kirchenmusik in Herford, also with distinction (October 2019-September 2021). In 2024, she completed her master's degree in singing at the Hochschule für Musik, Theater und Medien in Hannover with Professor Dr. Peter Anton Ling. She received further lessons from Ralf Popken and Professor Bernward Lohr (early music), Professor Gudrun Pelker (new music) and Professor Jan Philip Schulze (Lieder interpretation). In addition, she gained important inspiration in master-classes and private studies with Christoph Prégardien, among others. She is the winner of the special prize of the Christa Bach-Marschall-Stiftung at the 2024 Internationalen Bach-Wettbewerb.
Anna Padalko is a concert, Lieder and oratorio singer in the mezzo-soprano and alto voice ranges. Her repertoire ranges from the music of the Middle Ages to the Renaissance, Baroque, Classical and Romantic periods to new music of the 21st century. From 2012 to 2019, she was a soloist with the Petersburg Concert Choir under the direction of Vladimir Beglezow. From 2022 to 2024, she worked as an alto in numerous projects with the RIAS-Kammerchor Berlin and Rundfunkchor Berlin. She sang under the direction of Justin Doyle, Marcus Creed and others. Since the 2024-2025 season, she has been singing in the SWR Vokalensemble Stuttgart.
As a soloist, Anna Padalko regularly performs at home and abroad and plays with well-known ensembles such as Concerto Ispirato, Boulevard Baroque, La Festa Musicale and the tango ensemble Faux Pas. She has a particularly close collaboration and deep friendship with the mezzo-soprano Annadora Reimer. She currently lives in Stuttgart, Germany. |
