The Ukrainian tenor, Viktor Papp, was born in Uzhhorod and lived there until the age of 15. He became acquainted first with light music and then from the age of 13 with classical music. After two years of preparation in music school, he was admitted to the Leo Weiner Vocational High School of Music in 2015, where he graduated in 2019. During his high school years, he won prizes at several singing competitions in Hungary: 2nd place at Singing Competition of Veszprém (2015); 1st place at Singing Competition of Veszprém (2016); 1st place and Gregor Grand Prix at József Gregor Singing Competition, Székesfehérvár (2017); 1st place and Special Prize of Hungarian Academy of Arts at József Simándy Singing Competition in Szeged (2018).
Viktor Papp had opportunity to perform in venues as Erkel Theater, Budapest Music Center, Müpa - palace of arts, National Theater of Szeged, Vigadó of Pest, the Liszt Academy of Music. He sang at radio concerts in the Marble Hall of the Hungarian State Radio and in Studio No.6. He also sang at several church concerts, including St. Stephen's Basilica in Budapest and Szeged Cathedral.
Viktor Papp has been a permanent member of the St. Ephrem Men's Choir since 2019. He study conducting at the Liszt Academy of Music since 2019. |
