The American baritone, Anthony Pilcher, obtained his Bachelor of Music degree in Vocal Performance and Music Education from Ithaca College (2017-2021); and his Master of Music degree in Vocal Performance from Boston University (August 2021-May 2023), where he studied voice with Jim Demler.
Anthony Pilcher has been a mainstay of Seaglass Theatre Company’s 2024 season, appearing in their Armed Forces Day concert Stars & Stripes, the recital "Not Afraid To Dare: Music By Black Composers", and their cinema concert "Hooray for Hollywood". He was recently the Baritone Vocal Fellow with the Grant Park Music Festival in Chicago, Illinois, where he performed works such as Johannes Brahms’ Requiem and Joel Thompson’s Seven Last Words of The Unarmed with the Grant Park Festival Chorus and Orchestra. He has performed operatic and concert works with companies such as Boston University’s Opera Institute, Boston Youth Symphony Orchestra, Odyssey Opera, Boston Modern Orchestra Project, and the Bay View Music Festival.
Currently Anthony Pilcher is Bass Section Leader & Cantor at St. Adelaide Parish (since October 2021); and Facilities supervisor at Boston University Fitness and Recreation Center (since January 2022). |
