The Austrian tenor, Wilfried Rogl, studied with Karlheinz Hanser and Gabriele Erhard Konzertfach and vocal pedagogy at the Tiroler Landeskonservatorium. He also attended master-classes and workshops with Kammersängerin Brigitte Fassbaender and Professor Peter Schreier. He is currently studying at Bruckner Universität with Katerina Beranova.
Wilfried Rogl has already given several Lieder recitals. Among them were evenings with Schubert's Die schöne Müllerin and Winterreise, Robert Schumann's Dichterliebe, Kernerlieder Op. 35 and Liederkreise Op. 24 and 39 and Ralph Vaughan Williams' Songs of Travel.
Wilfried Rogl is a soloist in concert and church music, where he couldc be heard performing in Robert Schumann's Paradies und die Peri, George Frideric Handel's Israel in Egypt, J.S. Bach's Magnificat (BWV 243), Heinrich Schütz' Weihnachts-Historie, H. Purcell's King Arthur, W.A. Mozart's Requiem and J. Haydn's Stabat Mater. In his musical work, he was able to work with conductors such as René Jacobs, Piers Maxim, Timothy Brown and ensembles such as the Akademie für Alte Musik Berlin, B'Rock, Modern Times_1800, Concerto Stella Matutina and Capella de la Torre.
Wilfried Rogl was also to be seen at the Tyrolean Landestheater in roles as Lehrbuben in R. Wagner's Meistersinger and the Deputy in G. Verdi's Don Carlo. In the summer of 2011, he made his debut at the Innsbrucker Festwochen der Alten Musik as L'Infea in the production La Calisto by Francesco Cavalli. He is a member of the Innsbruck Festival Chorus der Festwochen der Alten Musik and the Capella Wilthinensis. |
