The Hungarian soprano, Júlia Sárkány, graduated from the Scuola Coreutica Zoltán Kodály (Zoltán Kodály School of Dance); then studied choral conducting at the Università Eötvös Loránd (Eötvös Loránd University) (Class of 2010) and sacred music at the Università di Studi Musicali Ferenc Liszt (Ferenc Liszt University of Music)
Júlia Sárkány is highly regarded for her performances of sacred, Baroque, and Romantic vocal music. She frequently collaborates with vocal ensembles, chamber groups, and early music specialists - having performed at institutions like the Accademia d'Ungheria in Roma. As a singer with the Ars Nova Sacra Vocal Ensemble and the Capella Du Mont, she regularly performs in concerts of Renaissance and Baroque music. In May 2022, she sang at Basilica dei Santi XII Apostoli in Rome concert of Romantic and Baroque duets with Barbara Szabó (contralto) and Zsuzsa Elekes (organ). In addition to her solo work, she is known for her choral conducting, directing groups such as the Ars Nova Sacra Vocal Ensemble. In May 2010, she condcted the in concert of H. Purcell choral works at Rózsafüzér Királynéja (Domonkos) templom. |
