The Austrian baritone, Benjamin Sattlecker, began his vocal training with the Salzburger Domkapellknabe. In November 2018, he completed his Bachelor of Music degree in Concert Singing at the Universität Mozarteum under Kammersängerin Elisabeth Wilke. He then deepened his artistic training in both the master's program in Lied and Oratorio with Elisabeth Wilke and Wolfgang Holzmair and the master's program in Opera and Music Theater with Alexander von Pfeil and Gernot Sahler, which he completed with distinction in November 2021. During his studies, he received valuable input from Helmut Deutsch and Albert Hartinger, among others. He attended master-classes with Jorma Hynninen, Dietrich Henschel, and Anna Lucia Richter, and at the Bachakademie Stuttgart with Peter Harvey.
Benjamin Sattlecker has worked with ensembles such as the Münchener Bach-Chor and Münchener Bach-Orchester, Hofkapelle München, Virtuosi Saxoniae, Chor der KlangVerwaltung München, Gewandhauschor Leipzig, and La Divina Armonia, and has sung under conductors such as Hansjörg Albrecht, Rüdiger Lotter, Ludwig Güttler, Jörn Andresen, Lorenzo Ghielmi, and Gregor Meyer.
Benjamin Sattlecker is a prize-winner of the Bachwettbewerbs Leipzig and the Haydn Wettbewerbs in Rohrau. He was awaeded 2nd Prize at both the internationalen Lied-Wettbewerb "Bolko von Hochberg" and the 19th Internationalen Lied-Wettbewerb "Seghizzi". With his Lied duo partner Juliane Sophie Ritzmann, he reached the finals of the 19th Internationalen Internationalen Robert-Schumann-Wettbewerbs in Zwickau. |
