The German tenor, Thorsten Scharnke, studied first law in in Münster (Westphalia). He completed his singing training from 1990 to 1995 in Hamburg.
After finishing his studies Thorsten Scharnke was engaged in Würzburg and München, and from 2000 he is active as a free-lance singer. He has been engaged at the Coburger Landestheater since September 2004. His first roles were Hoffmann in Hoffmanns Erzählungen, Prinz Sou-Chong in Das Land des Lächelns and Floristan in Fidelio. In this season (2005-2006) follow Erik in Der fliegende Holländer and Bacchus in"Ariadne auf Naxos. |
