The German soprano, Susen Schneider, studied singing with Professor H.-J. Beyer at the Musikhochschule "Felix Mendelssohn-Bartholdy" in Leipzig and attended master-classes with Gundula Janowitz and Barbara Schlick.
Susen Schneider has her stage experiences during the training, such as at the Neuköllner Oper Berlin. She was engagemend as a soloist at the Oper Münster and at KristallpalastVarieté Leipzig. Since 2004, she has worked freelance as a concert and oratorio singer at home and abroad and has performed in concerts with the Neues Bachisches Collegium Musicum Leipzig, Jenaer Philharmonie, Thüringer Bachorchester, Gewandhausorchester Leipzig, Ludwigsburger Bachorchester, Das Kleine Konzert (Director: Hermann Max), Händelfestspielorchester Halle und Göttinger Symphonieorchester. She has collaborated with conductors such as D.R. Davies, Martin Haselböck, Hermann Max, Christfried Brödel, Michael Schneider, W. Radecke, Matthias Jung. She has been a guest at music festivals such as the Thüringer Bachwochen, Händelfestspiele Halle, Styriarte Graz and Bachfest Leipzig, as well as recitals with the Internationalen Mendelssohn-Stiftung Leipzig. She is also a member of Collegium Vocale Leipzig (Director: Michael Schönheit). Another focus of her musical work are concerts with contemporary music (Franke, Steffen Schleiermacher, Reinhold and others). |
