The Austrian mezzo-soprano and music teacher, Eva Maria Schoßleitner, completed her singing studies at the Musikuniversität Mozarteum Salzburg, where she received inspiration from Professor Breda Zakotnik in the fields of Lied and Oratorio. This was followed by studies with Professor Helena Lazarska at the Universität für Musik und darstellende Kunst Wien, with Paul Triepels in Nijmegen and intensive work on Baroque performance practice with Markus Forster in Innsbruck. She is currently receiving vocal advice from Professor Monika Lenz. She attended master-classes with Barbara Bonney, Angelika Kirchschlager, M. Honig, R. McIver, G. Kahry and R. Vignoles, among others.
Performances in the areas of opera, oratorio and concert have taken Eva Schoßleitner to, among others, in such venues as: in the Dubai Community Theatre, American University of Sharjah, Großen Saal des Mozarteum and Marmorsaal des Schlosses Mirabell, as well as at such festivals as: the Doce Festival Musica Antiqua Esteban Salas in Havana, Taschenopernfestival Salzburg (world premiere), Tiroler Barocktage, Diabellisommer Mattsee, Mozartfestival Salzkammergut, 8.Festiwal Muzyki Polskiej, Festival Psalm in Graz, Osterklang in Vienna, Schlossfestspiele Vetschau, Schleswig Holstein Musikfestival.
Eva Schoßleitner works with various ensembles and orchestras, such as Hofmusik Salzburg, Concerto Viennese, ÖENM, Philharmonie Salzburg, Sorbisches Nationalensemble, Salzburger Barockensemble, Ensemble Origen, Sinfonietta da Camera Salzburg, Ensemble BachWerkVokal Salzburg (Director: Gordon Safari), Salzburger Barocktrio... Radio and CD recordings round off her musical activities.
Eva Schoßleitner passed on her knowledge at the Pädagogischen Hochschule Salzburg "Stefan Zweig" (since October 2020), at the OÖ Landesmusikschulwerk, in the form of courses (e.g. with the ensemble Ars Longa in Havana) and as a juror at the children’s and youth competition Prima La Musica. |
